Activities & Tasks

Track every interaction with calls, meetings, notes, and tasks — all synced with your calendar.

1

Activity Types

Rally supports four activity types, each designed for a specific kind of interaction:

Notes

Quick text entries for recording observations, follow-up details, or meeting summaries. No scheduling required.

Tasks

Action items with due dates, priority levels, and completion status. Perfect for follow-up reminders.

Calls

Log call direction (inbound/outbound), outcome, duration, and phone number. Track follow-up dates.

Meetings

Schedule meetings with duration, location, meeting URL, and attendees. Syncs with your calendar.

2

Creating Activities

Create an activity from the Activities page, or directly from a contact, company, or deal record. Every activity can be associated with one or more of these entities.

Schedule future activities to plan your outreach, and set reminders so nothing falls through the cracks. When an activity is due, Rally will notify you via the in-app notification center.

Pro Tip

After every call or meeting, log the activity immediately while details are fresh. Rally's quick-add lets you create an activity in under 10 seconds.

3

Task Management

Tasks help your team stay on top of follow-ups and action items. Every task has a priority level, a status, and a due date.

Overdue tasks are highlighted in the task list and on the dashboard, so you can quickly spot anything that needs attention.

4

Call Logging

Log every call with structured data so you can track outreach volume, connect rates, and follow-up cadence.

Call Fields

FieldOptions
DirectionInbound, Outbound
OutcomeConnected, Voicemail, No Answer, Busy, Wrong Number, Not Interested
DurationCall length in minutes
Follow-up DateSchedule the next touch point

Pro Tip

Always log a call outcome, even if the call went to voicemail. Tracking connect rates helps you identify the best times to reach prospects and optimize your calling schedule.

5

Calendar Integration

Rally offers two-way calendar sync with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Once connected, meetings flow seamlessly between Rally and your calendar.

How It Works

  • Rally → Calendar: Create a meeting in Rally and it automatically appears on your calendar
  • Calendar → Rally: Create an event in your calendar and it syncs back to Rally as a meeting activity

Synced events are linked via an external calendar event ID, so updates in either system stay in sync. Recurring events are also supported.

Setup: Go to Settings → Integrations and connect your Google or Microsoft account. Calendar sync runs automatically in the background.

6

Activity Timeline

All activities appear on the timelines of their associated contacts, companies, and deals. This gives your team a complete interaction history in one place.

Filter the timeline by activity type, date range, or owner to quickly find what you're looking for. The timeline updates in real time as new activities are logged.

Pro Tip

Before any customer call, pull up their contact record and scan the activity timeline. Knowing the last three interactions gives you instant context and shows the customer you value the relationship.
