Email Integration
Connect Gmail or Outlook for automatic email logging, two-way sync, and email tracking.
Gmail Integration
Connect your Gmail account to Rally in just a few clicks. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Gmail and sign in with your Google account via OAuth.
Rally will request permissions to read and send emails on your behalf, as well as access your Google Calendar for meeting sync. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Pro Tip
If you use Google Workspace, ask your admin to pre-approve the Rally app in the Google Admin Console. This skips the individual consent screen for your entire team.
Outlook Integration
Connect your Microsoft Outlook account via Settings → Integrations → Outlook. Rally uses Microsoft OAuth for secure authentication.
The Outlook integration supports the same features as Gmail: email read and send permissions, plus calendar access for two-way meeting sync.
Two-Way Email Sync
Once connected, Rally automatically syncs emails between your inbox and your CRM. Here's how it works:
- Inbox → Rally: Emails sent to or from known contacts are automatically logged on the contact's activity timeline
- Rally → Inbox: Emails you send from within Rally appear in your sent folder, just like any other email
Sync runs automatically in the background. New emails typically appear in Rally within a few minutes of being sent or received.
Pro Tip
Rally only syncs emails that match a known contact's email address. To capture all relevant conversations, make sure your contacts have accurate email addresses in their records.
Email Tracking
Know exactly when your emails are opened and which links are clicked. Email tracking gives you real-time engagement data so you can follow up at the perfect moment.
What's Tracked
- Opens — see when and how many times a recipient opens your email
- Link clicks — track which links in your email were clicked
Tracking data appears on the email record in the contact's activity timeline, so your entire team has visibility into engagement.
Email Templates
Create reusable email templates to save time on repetitive messages. Templates support merge fields so each email is automatically personalized with the recipient's information.

Pro Tip
Create templates for your most common outreach scenarios: introduction emails, follow-ups after meetings, proposal sendouts, and check-ins. A library of 5–10 templates can cut your email composition time in half.
Calendar Sync
When you connect Gmail or Outlook, calendar sync is enabled automatically. Meetings created in Rally sync to your calendar and vice versa.
